What differentiates CONIDIA of other laboratories ?

Firstly, our first difference concerns micro-organisms we are working on. Indeed, while being able to work on bacteria, we decided to specialize on molds. Molds development concerns all material and this has many consequences from changing the physical and mechanical properties of materials up to release spores into the air with a risk to human health.


The second difference lies in our working method which involves close relationship with the customer from the beginning to the end of the process. Each issue is directly supported by a CONIDIA field specialist that specifically defines the client’s needs. From that moment, either method is already in use by CONIDIA or it is created bespoke. We can naturally switch to R & D to address the complex and diverse subjects. Note that we are working with microorganisms that are either part from the customer work (sampling locally) or known to interact with the product (available in our culture collection).

Finally, CONIDIA’s knowledge and support on the interactions between micro-organisms and materials is regularly enriched thanks to all the work we do.


 R&D, an engine of your business ?

The specificity of the work we do, regularly leads us to combine different tools such as microbiology, image analysis or molecular biology. These innovative tools fit into a R & D approach. The goal is to stick to the industrial and economic reality of the client to enable him to gain competitive advantage. This can be achieved in 2 ways: by developing a tool or method which will then be integrated into the client’s structure or by becoming his partner. In this case, once the tool developed internally, we conduct studies for the customer.

For scientists of CONIDIA, new exciting projects can generate knowledge and be shared and disseminated through specialized or technical journals for example (under customer request).
