Action of various photocatalyic media on Aspergillus Niger
In this study, different photocatalytic media but also different wavelengths (UVA and UVC) were used to verify their action on the germination of spores of Aspergillus Niger.
The results showed that close contact between the spores and the titanium dioxide layer was essential for maximum efficiency, but also the need for the UVs to be present at the moment of the deposit of spores on the filter. Otherwise, if the germination can start, the effectiveness on subsequent growth phase will be much weaker.
